Prayer meeting

Michael and I had the privilege of attending a Prebyterian prayer meeting in the evening last Thursday night. It would be impossible to find a similar meeting in the US.

The prayer meeting was opened with prayer by one person in the group. It was followed by singing and dancing. Then we briefly looked at the scripture that was studied on Tuesday evening by a group in the church. After this, we started praying. While walking throughout the sanctuary, all members would pray at one time, creating a glorious and energetic chorus of prayers. The leader of the group would clap his hands and call out new topics for the group to continue praying for. At the end the group formed a circle and prayed for personal prayer requests to be granted, mostly healing. But it wasn't just praying for healing, it was an honest cry for a miracle.

This experience was a wonderful gift from God to give me a wake up call to improve my prayer life.
