While we were in Ghana we had the opportunity to visit two tourist sites. One being a slave castle. It was a castle on the beach where African tribes sold their slaves (other captured Africans) to the European slave traders. We saw the dungeons, heard the stories, saw the cave where slaves who tried to escape were suffocated, saw the door of no return, and at the end saw a plaque wishing peace for those who had died, for those who return to find their roots and asking that these inhumanities may never again be performed between races again.
After that we traveled north to walk on ladders in the canopy of the trees in the jungle. We joined many school students and loud people, so all the animal life (monkey's, snakes, elephants, etc.) were scared away. It was fun to walk so high in the tall huge trees and see the many beautiful butterflies.
