Since arriving in Singapore, we found seaweed chips in the grocery store. While they didn’t sound any good, I couldn’t pass up the chance to say I sampled something so different. The only redeeming quality I found in them was the mouth burning spice added.
We also had seaweed added to our Japanese dinner along with rice and chicken/ pork on skewers. Other than that, we have found Nutella and McVities in the store, which Rachel and Michael are very pleased with, respectively.
Last night for dinner we ate a Thai meal. I had shrimp and eggs over rice, with peanuts and spices to add. It was delicious. Michael had the chicken and basil over rice, all this for only $S7.60, which would be about $5.
For dessert an aloe vera jello over shredded ice won out over McDonalds Green Tea McFlurry. They also have seaweed ice cream, but in my opinion that is just going too far and spoiling a wonderful thing.
This is not just some whimpy "weblog," it's a real "mrlog" of what is going on in Michael and Rachel's life recently. Stay tuned for updates!
